Our Approach
Facilitated by a registered music therapist, sessions are high quality and based on evidence-based music therapy research. We use live music and adapt the program to suit the individual needs and preferences of the children in the group.
Music works as it’s so engaging and motivating for kids. It’s an excellent tool to learn music skills, rehearse early literacy and numeracy, build collaboration skills, and develop friendships and respectful relationships.
What the Program Covers
Our Toddler Beats program uses interactive music sessions to develop:
Communication & Language – listening, vocabulary, following instructions
Social Skills – turn-taking, sharing, responsibility and respect
Emotional Literacy – recognising feelings, managing behaviour, building self-regulation
Physical development – fine and gross motor development for writing, play and coordination
Cognitive Skills – early literacy (rhyming, phonological awareness) and numeracy (counting, sequencing, patterns)
Independence – learning routines, developing confidence, coping with new environments
Each session includes
- Singing and rhymes
- Props and puppets
- Instrument play
- Dancing and movement
- Co-operative activities with peers

Our Toddler Beats program is based on early childhood music literature, the RAMSR (Rhythm and Movement for Self-regulation) program, and aligns with the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF).
